With the generous support of Firefly, this year's BATP Design Exhibition is located on the virtual platform of an online display complemented by the physical presentation of artefacts and documentation in Studio 1.
This dual arrangement of the works echoes current design practices as well as the breadth of speculative, realized, digital and analog modes of designing that the students have elaborated through their studies. The exhibition demonstrates such a variety of design processes and realizations attesting to the individual and collaborative qualities of each student within a multiplicity of performance genres.
As design students prepare to graduate and leave the safe confines of the educational setting, showcasing their works is an essential aspect of their professional development from trainees to practitioners. Virtual and physical visitors are thus invited to not only enjoy the works, but also to respond in the various ways offered by digital and physical platforms of encounter.
